He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Indore (2019) with a thesis on contact and non-contact based actuation studies of shape memory alloy structures and their life-cycle behaviour, working under Prof. I.A. Palani.

His research spans the design and control of mechanical systems, smart materials — particularly NiTi shape memory alloys — mechatronics and additive manufacturing. He has published 13 SCI and 5 Scopus indexed journal papers, authored 3 book chapters, contributed to 13 conference publications, and holds two granted patents with a third published and awaiting examination.

He has led and co-led funded research from CSIR and DRDO, supervises doctoral and postgraduate research, and has taught courses spanning robotics, sensors and actuators, mechatronics, MEMS & NEMS, and electric-vehicle dynamics & control.
