Assistant Professor, Mechatronics and Automation Engineering
Investigating Shape Memory Alloys (SMA) and their applications in actuation systems, focusing on their thermo-mechanical behavior and lifecycle reliability.
Developing intelligent control strategies for mechanical systems with integrated electronics, sensors, and actuators for precision applications.
Building innovative test benches and methodologies to evaluate and enhance the performance of emerging actuation technologies.
I am Dr. Tameshwer Nath, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechatronics and Automation Engineering, Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhagalpur. I completed my Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Indore in February 2019, focusing on "Investigations on Contact and Non-Contact Based Actuation Studies of Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) Structures and their Life Cycle Behavior."
My research interests lie in the design and control of Mechanical Systems, Smart Materials (particularly Shape Memory Alloys), Mechatronics, and Additive Manufacturing. I have published numerous research papers in reputed journals and conferences, and have been actively involved in funded research projects.
At IIIT Bhagalpur, I serve as Faculty In-charge for Security and Transport, and as a Warden for Kautilya Hostel. I am committed to advancing research in my field and guiding students to achieve excellence in their academic and research pursuits.
